STYLE ICON: THE QUEEN OF ROCK N' ROLL

When I think about my ultimate style icons, the first name that pops into my mind is Priscilla Presley. I've sort of mentioned before, but I have been obsessed with Elvis my whole life so naturally I was exposed to his leading lady as well. She is probably the biggest reason that I'm so obsessed with the sixties (along with Cher who we will revisit at another time). The hair, the eyelashes, the husband (the best accessory!). She was so daring in her fashion choices, which was totally acceptable for the time and I love all the pastels she sported. Her look has drastically changed several times through out her life, but she was at her best when she was with The King. Her style is the total definition of 60's/70's fashion and it's still being imitated today.

Check out some of my very favorite looks from Mrs.Presley:

Unless otherwise stated, I found all of these amazing images over on LADYPRESLEY. If you're as obsessed with Priscilla and The King as I am, go follow her!

THE RURAL KNITTER!

Another Saturday, another wonderful Fall sponsor! Kayla from The Rural Knitter is one extremely talented lady. She is new to knitting, but you really couldn't tell. She pumps out wonderful hats and slippers with ease. I'm extremely jealous because I started knitting awhile back and I'm slower than a snail! I have not completed one darn (or yarn) thing! I love her blog, that shows off all of her lovely projects as well as fun vintage patterns! Also check out her Inspiration board on Tumblr! Oh my, I could just gush all day!
Here she is:
Hi! I'm Kayla. I'm a small town girl in her late 20's who decided to move from the city to rural Newfoundland, Canada in hopes of slowing down and appreciating life. I blog over at The Rural Knitter. I write about my new found passion -- knitting, but also crafting, the world of books, and music. I also like to share what it's like to live in the most easterly part of Canada, where people live on an almost constant island of fog but boast a colourful and fantastic culture and history. As a knitter, I'm trying to bridge the gap between my Grandmother's generation and my own in a land where knitting is not a hobby, but a way of life. So grab a cup of Tetley tea and put on a pair of wool socks and join me at The Rural Knitter.

I love all of her cozy knits, go visit her shop, she just opened up!
Also hop on over to her blog to enter her first giveaway, which I am taking part in! Today is the LAST day!
Have a groovy day!

First TWOI of the Fall!

Hooray! Hooray! It's finally here! My favorite time of year! Maybe it's my name? The fact that I'm an October baby? Halloween? Hunter's birthday? Whatever the reason I'm completely obsessed. I've already whipped out my favorite pair of moccasin boots and I'm ready for leather jackets and cardigans all day, everyday. This first bit of fall has already been so amazing and I can't wait to see whats in store for the rest of the season! I'll be celebrating Autumn in so many ways (and I don't just mean myself) so keep your eye out for all the goodness that will be coming your ways soon!

Look at those leaves! // One crazy glorious sky // With fall comes change, like me becoming a brunette! // Baby boy turned 10 months old, can you believe it?! So chubby and happy! // Sculpting and building // Look at those letters! Her skills are definitely improving! // The hubby had a picnic with his work, so of course I had to make them a yummy treat!

I'm also so excited to be shipping out some orders for the shop and my pen pal package this weekend! Man I love sending people real mail, it's too much fun! I joined Lovely Letters and I cant wait to get my partner!

Hope you all have a fantastic Friday and a safe weekend!

From left to right: Siesta-ware Tiki Glasses // Turquoise and gold tray, looks similar to Fred Press! // Atomic style turquoise and white planter.
I was so excited when I found this little tray for $4.00, it looks similar in style to my Fred Press collection and its perfect to display on  my vanity!
I love these tropical tumblers! They are so perfect for a bar or to display in your home. They are up in the shop, so if you are interested hurry before they get snatched up!

This has got to be my favorite find from the week, hands down! This jewelry box is just so amazing. It hangs on the wall and looks like the most fancy medicine cabinet you've ever seen, open it up and you have a mirror and places for all of your jewelry! I cant wait to upcycle this!
What color do you think I should paint it?

Hope all of you link up, I wanna see your treasures!

A little bit of AD SPACE is always nice!

Hello Darlings, I hope you all are having a wonderful week so far!
It's been a fantastic experience watching my blog grow over the last couple of months. I've connected with so many great writers, photographers, creators, and fellow moms who have given me such great words of encouragement and have inspired me to keep this blog going! A while back I started accepting Sponsorships as a way to promote my fellow bloggers and small business owners and I was so pleased with the turnout! My ads have been booked since the first week that I offered sponsor ads! A HUGE thank you to everyone who participated.
Since my ad space went over so well a few things have changed to improve everyone's sponsorship! First off, I have opened a few ad spaces for all of my new readers and friends. Your ad will run for the rest of this sponsor season and you'll get all the perks that come with your sponsorship. If you already have an ad with me, nothing is going to change for you. Just keep on keepin' on! Another thing that has changed is price! I still offer free ad swap space but I will also be charging a little bit for my larger ads. This is due to high demand(I have so many XL ads backed up), and my want to better your sponsorship experience. You see, all the proceeds from every ad you purchase from me goes towards my ads being featured on bigger and better blogs with a bunch of followers and page views. The more people click on those ads, the more people see your blog, the more potential followers you have!
Currently I run ads in three month cycles, my sponsors change with the seasons. This makes it easy for me to keep track of and it gets you the most exposure because your ad is seen for a longer period of time.
If you are interested in becoming a sponsor for the rest of the Fall Season, visit my Sponsor Page and buy an ad! If I accept your sponsorship request you could be live on my blog today!
*the quantities for the ad spaces is above is incorrect,to see what ads are available visit my sponsor page.

If you have any questions at all about my sponsorship program email me at gypsybeee@gmail.com and I'll get back with you as soon as I can!

Sunday Mash-Up!

Hopefully all of you are having a wonderful Sunday so far! I am loving that the fall weather has kicked in and it is so amazing outside. Of course I took my Sunday morning trip to the flea market, man did I score big today! If you want to see all of my lovely finds, come back on Thursday when I host Thrifty Thursday Link Party with Lara's Vintage!
Here are some of my finds:
I am so in love with these chairs. Fate seriously brought us together...hahaha...seriously. I saw the chairs and I was instantly drawn to the bright floral pattern. The seller offered the set of three chairs to me for $10.00, and even though I wanted them, there was no way they would fit in my hatchback. I just had to pass them up. As I was walking away the seller ran up to me and told me that if I really wanted them they were mine..for free. If only I had the room! Jared and I packed up the rest of our finds and started to drive away but he could tell that I really wanted them. He suggested that I run back and see if there was a way we could pick the chairs up later from the seller. I hopped out into traffic and ran back to where I had seen the chairs. I talked to the guy and he was super nice and offered to meet us somewhere to get them. My husband picked them up earlier, he's the best!
I also found this sweet Pyrex pitcher with matching cups! I got eight of the glasses and the pitcher in perfect condition! They are going to be listed in the shop this week!

Earlier this month I talked about ordering from Paper Coterie and I had a really fantastic experience with them! I just received my two journals, they turned out so great.
If you aren't familiar, Paper Coterie is a company were you can customize and create tons of products such as calanders, notebooks, and photo books. Their prices are reasonable and their products are a perfect way to show off my instagram photos!
These will be perfect little blogging journals!

I also mentioned yesterday that I was taking part in a giveaway over at The Rural Knitter. This is her first giveaway and I am really happy to be a part of the celebration. The best part of it all is if you enter, you could possibly win the cutest little hand knitted slippers and coffee mug cozy, perfect for Fall! Listed above are all the prizes you could win if you enter!

I'm really hoping Kayla opens an etsy shop full of her sweet little projects!

Enjoy whats left of your weekend!
