Well Easter is officially a few days away, so this week the kids and I started our festivities. We had a blast dying eggs! Marli colored each of her eggs with white crayons and then dipped them as she pleased. She loved picking out the colors that each egg would be and decided on a story for each design, such a creative little stinker. I also took a whack at egg decorating and I love the way that they turned out!
I still have a lot to do before Sunday, hopefully I can get it all accomplished in time. I haven't started their Easter baskets, shame on me! I just hate going into Target around holidays, the people are mad. Hopefully all the stores won't be completely cleared out of candy and goodies, I really need some Robin's Eggs and Peeps! There will be more Easter cheer posted on Sunday, until then enjoy a few snapshots from our week!
1.// Getting out mess making supplies in order. 2.// My favorite egg this year, it turned out really cute. 3.// Marli excitedly telling me all about her eggs and how she can't wait for Easter. 4.// All of my eggs, so pastel and fun! 5.// I stole this photo from Sandra at Anchors and Honey because she always does an amazing job of capturing my work.. She ordered two carrots for an Easter themed photo shoot and they turned out really great. I threw in the hat for good measure. 6.// Hunter being naughty. He steals all of our canned goods and then builds towers with them when he thinks no one is watching. 7.// I started on a few new listings for the handmade shop, I know it's going to be warm soon but you can never have too many scarves right? 8.// This is what the end of March in Missouri looks like in case you were wondering. We ended up with almost two feet of snow in a single day. Happy Spring! 9.// I showed off what is in my bag this week. 10.// Afternoon lamb cuddles. 11.// Making sweet music with her Lalaloopsy. 12.// I finally broke in my bunny mug, perfect for this week! 13.// I finished an anniversary order for two love birds and they turned out adorable. 14.// A huge congrats to EmmaDeer for winning Arrow in the Eye's blogaversary giveaway. I started on her scarf using this beautifull mint cashmere, how will I ever part with it?

It's Thrifty Thursday again my friends! I look forward to these posts so much when I get a few good hauls in! Yesterday we talked about Pyrex, so why not just keep going? I had one of the best Pyrex thrifting weeks of my life! The husband finally broke down and we spent a whole day last weekend just driving around and stopping at every place we could. I ended up spending a whopping twenty on all this stuff and this isn't even all of it! I found more Pyrex mugs, Pyrex plates, and a killer cheese tray that matches the peanut jar shown! The shop is definitely getting stocked up with some new goodies. I'm already sorting everything "one for you, two for me"! Sorry, it's hard to say goodbye to Pyrex!
1.// This was the super score for me. I have a bunch of mixing bowls but this butterfly gold is hugeeeeee and a decent price. 2.// More teacups and a divided dish lid, because I need so many. 3.// I can't get enough of Spring Blossom! 4.// A fun peanut jar and a super creepy and amazing vintage Avon bottle. Those eyes are staring into my soul. ahhh!

I think it's pretty safe to say that we all love vintage Pyrex, right? I mean, I'll admit that I'm a hoarder and I know a bunch of you guys collect it too. There is something so nostalgic and wonderful about baking brownies in a gooseberry pink Pyrex dish or stirring up morning pancakes in a friendship cinderella mixing bowl. Now that I've been collecting for awhile, I noticed that I only gravitate toward certain patterns and to be honest I need something fresh and new (old-new, but you get what I mean). Then I stumbled upon something that made my heart do a little pitter patter, Crown Pyrex! The British and Australian Pyrex provider, what whatt?! Why did I not think of it sooner?! Don't laugh at me guys!! Anyway, Crown Pyrex, JAJ, Agee, Crown Crystal or whatever else you want to call it is uhhhhmazing. There are so many fun new prints and styles for me to collect and enjoy! It's a whole new world, a new fantastic point of view!(yes, I did just sing that out loud.) Check out some of my favorites and I mean some, because there are way too many to post!
Which one is your favorite?!

What you'll need:
Yarn in your choice of colors
White embroidery or crochet thread
Pom Pom Maker
(or you can kick it old school and use two circular pieces of cardboard with a hole through the center of them.)
Wrap your pom pom maker with the yarn of your choice, I did a combination of solid colors and multicolored pompoms. Play with different color combinations and sizes, it is supposed to be fun after all!
Once your pom pom maker is all wrapped up cut between the grooves and tie with thread, make sure you pull them tight so all the yarn doesn't slide out! Pop the pom pom out of the maker , fluff, and set aside.
Once you've made all the pom poms your heart desires it's time to string them together, this part is a no brainer. Use a needle and thread in the length you want your garland to be and then just string the pom poms on. I like to tie knots under the last pom pom on each side of the garland, that way they don't slide off the string but you can still adjust the rest of the pom poms on the strand. Then hang your garland up and admire its glory! Pretty simple right? I told you! Now you can make garland for every holiday, party, and event!
